Kevin Corrigan was awarded his first winner at Killeagh in January 2018, sometime after the race when it transpired that the horse who finished in front of his mount, Killisk Ben Rose, tested positive for a prohibited substance. That came less than two-years after his first ride at Monksgrange in March 2016. Since then, he enjoyed a notable spring 2019, riding his first four-year-old winner, Faivoir, at Fairyhouse for Donnchadh Doyle, whilst Ard Abhainn, whom he rode to success at Lingstown, went on to a bumper at that season’s Punchestown Festival.
