The son of Blue Bresil produced his challenge on the approach to the last and powered clear to win by a snug two-and-three-quarters lengths from long time leader Menethil. Philip McBurney's gelding was handy early on and took up the challenge of chasing the long time leader Replonge on the final circuit. Clough Clouds doubles his tally for owner Mervyn Adams. The grey son of Cloudings was given a confident ride by Noel McParlan, slowly creeping forward after the fifth last. He joined Mister Frostie after the second last and toyed with that rival on the approach to the last to score by a comfortable two lengths on the bridle to complete a quick double for Quinn and McParlan. Winning handler OHare indicated that she will now be offered for sale.
