Fergal Harford recorded his first point-to-point winner aboard the Michael Fitzsimons-trained Horse Shoe Lane at Loughrea in October 2009, just over a year after his first ride at Ballingarry. A brother of well-known trainer Gillian Callaghan, it was during the 2017/18 campaign that Fergal combined his role as a rider by also training his own horses, and in his first season, trained and rode both She's All Vintage and Pottlereaghexpress to finish second.
