Additional Hunters Chase at Clonmel on 4th March

As a result of the rescheduled meeting at Clonmel on Tuesday 9 March, the programme of races for the scheduled meeting at Clonmel on Thursday March 4 will now be an all Chase card.

This includes the addition of a Maiden Hunters Chase over 2m 4f. Due to this additional race being added, the Maiden Hunter Chase at Thurles on March 11 will now be run over 3 miles.

Entries for this Clonmel meeting closes at 12 noon on Thursday 25 February.

The Racing Again March 9th Maiden Hunters Steeplechase of €10,000 Winner will receive €6,000 (Penalty Value: €5,900) Second will receive €2,000 Third will receive €1,000 Fourth will receive €500 Fifth will receive €300 Sixth will receive €200 

A steeplechase for † Certified Hunters five years old and upwards that have not won a race, including races under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing, and that have between 7th October, 2017 and 24th February, 2021 been placed either first, second, third or fourth in a Point To-Point Steeplechase in Ireland or second, third or fourth in a Certified Hunters Steeplechase in Ireland About 2 miles 4 furlongs 

€80 to enter, €20 extra if declared to run 

Weights: 5-y-o ...................................11st 11lbs 

6-y-o and up ........................................12st 2lbs 

Mares allowed ............................................ 7lbs 

Riders: Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. 

† A Hunters Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2020/2021 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Offices of The I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 24th February, 2021 or the horse will not be qualified to start.
