Exciting Irish pointers head to ThoroughBid's May Sale

For those looking to purchase their next rules horse, ThoroughBid's May Sale may be exactly where to look.

A string of exciting young horses from Ireland's renowned point-to-point fields have been entered, and they are all eligible for ThoroughBid’s £5,000 Point2Rules bonus.

Leading the charge is Colin Bowe, who has entered three exciting young horses into the sale. Spill A Drop (Lot 35) is a six-year-old gelding by St Leger winner Kingston Hill who already has a win at Lisronagh under his belt.

Bowe also consigns Valdisere (Lot 36), a five-year-old gelding by the exciting G1 hurdle winner in France, Nirvana du Berlais, and the six-year-old mare Wings In The Wind (Lot 37), who finished the season with a career best when only missing out on a maiden victory by a short head.

Sean Doyle from Monbeg Stables consigns Lady Rachel (Lot 38), a lightly raced five-year-old mare by Valirann and half-sister to a point-to-point and bumper winner, while Eamonn Doyle's Malt Master (Lot 40) is a similarly intriguing four-year-old gelding by Order Of St George.

Amongst the brilliant Irish contingent of up-coming talent is Fortunes Calling (Lot 39), a four-year-old gelding by Soldier Of Fortune consigned by James Doyle of Baltimore Stables. The same yard sold champion hunter chaser Its On The Line to Emmet Mullins through ThoroughBid's online sale in 2022.

Tom Keating has also gained a Wildcard entry with Drumlin Park (Lot 32), a four-year-old daughter of Walk In The Park who was last seen finishing fourth at Ballindenisk under a fortnight ago.

ThoroughBid’s £5,000 Point2Rules Bonus can be won by purchasing a pointer at the May Sale who goes on to win on its first start under rules.

Bidding opens for ThoroughBid's May Sale at 9am on Friday 29th May.

There are over 40 lots in total, which you can view here: https://thoroughbid.co.uk/collection/74
