Paddy Cody followed in the footsteps of his older sister Emily when having his first point-to-point ride aboard the Kieran Purcell-trained Windgap Hill at Cragmore in January 2023. That followed after his initial track success which had come for Purcell when Quaresome won a Roscommon bumper in September 2022. He registered his first winner between the flags aboard Hitak at Tattersalls in December 2023.  A nephew of trainer Ray Cody, Paddy and his family were contestants on the 2021 series of the RTE TV programme Ireland's Fittest Family.
