Josh Berry had the perfect start to his career in the saddle when guiding A Rated to land the open at Castlelands in March 2022 on what was his very first ride. The son of former point-to-point rider turned handler Johnny Berry, Berry junior went on to add a further three victories in that opening season aboard A Rated, a horse that carried the colours of his mother Shirley.
