Niall Prendergast is the son of handler Denis, who sent out subsequent Grade 1 winner, God's Own, to finish second in a four-year-old maiden at Athlacca. A graduate of RACE, Prendergast made a notable impact throughout his debut season, recording no fewer than three winners from 18-rides in the 2017/18 campaign. Shark Hanlon was respsonsible for providing all three including his first, Calderone at Oldtown in February 2018. In August 2021, Prendergast made the move to the conditional ranks.
