Jamie Scallan began his riding career with the late Willie Codd, who supplied him with his first mount and winner, both of which came aboard the same horse, Flabello. Having made his pointing debut at Lingstown in November 2015, Scallan got off the mark aboard the Publisher gelding at Moira in October 2016. Scallan has certainly caught the attentions of many Wexford handlers, picking-up 41 rides and three winners in his most successful campaign to date during the 2017/18 season, a winners count he matched 12 months later.
