Its On The Line back to winning ways

This year’s renewal of the Bar 1 Betting Hunters Chase at Down Royal was won by the Emmet Mullins trained Its On The Line.

Derek O’Connor, who was in the saddle, was seen to good effect as the eight-year-old was off the bridle for most of the contest.

The JP McManus owned gelding found plenty on the run-in to deny the Gordon Elliott trained Willitgoahead by a length with the favourite Con’s Roc further a neck down in third.

The gelding was a beaten favourite in this race last year when defeated by the David Christie trained Big Interest.

Winning connections have suggested he might have a further run in a point-to-point before the Foxhunters Hunters at Cheltenham.
