Milestone for Lawless

Wicklow native Brian Lawless had a day to remember at Knockmullen House when recording his 50th point-to-point winner aboard the Donnchadh Doyle trained Flash In The Park.

Lawless began his career riding the family owned and trained horses.  They were trained by his father Ger and owned by himself and his brother Seán.

Delgany Lass provided him with his first winner between the flags at Moira in 2017, he has progressed since then and his services have been called upon by the likes of Donnchadh Doyle, John Nallen and more recently Matthew Flynn O’Connor.

In 2020 shortened season he shared the Under-21 Title with Ben Harvey when finishing on seven winners.
Last season was his most successful to date with 22 winners on the board, his best season previous to that was last season when partnering nine winners.

His biggest supporters to date have been Matthew Flynn O’Connor, his father Gerard Lawless, Donnchadh Doyle and Colin Motherway.

Previous winners have included Deeply Superficial who realised £385,000 at the Tattersalls Cheltenham December sale after winning at Lingstown and Stay Away Fay who was sold to Tom Malone and Paul Nicholls for £305,000 after winning his maiden at Lingstown also.
