Video Archives | Naul 2004

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2004 season.

The Fingal Harriers point-to-point fixture at the Naul is the second meeting to be added from 2004.

Below is a re-cap of what happened on the day.

The opening race at the Naul saw Colin Motherway register his first winner of the afternoon when winning the five-year-old geldings maiden aboard Naomh Eanna.

It was a local family success in the opening division of the six-year-old geldings maiden with Icy Prospect and Jim Keeling winning by a neck in the colours of his father Ivon Keeling.

The second division of the six-year-old geldings maiden was won by Rossdee Lad and Gordon Elliott.

The winners of two contest saw Satco’s Deception add another win to his name when running out a five length victory over Millalley in the hands of Rory Lavery.

Risky Lad provided Colin Motherway with his second winner of the afternoon when winning the opening division of the five-year-old mares maiden.

Colin Motherway completed his treble when winning division two of the five-year-old and upwards mares maiden aboard Not So Green.

Owner and rider Shane McCullagh guided his charge Candela to victory in division three of the five-year-old and upwards mares maiden. Shane is a brother of top flat jockey Niall McCullagh.

The open lightweight for novices riders was in good style by Lotto Lolly in the hands of Keith Bowens.
