Video Archives | Comber November 2003

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2003 season.

The North Down Foxhounds point-to-point fixture at Comber is the next meeting to feature in the video archives section.

Below is a re-cap of what happened on the day.

The opening race at the North Down Foxhounds point-to-point at Comber was won in good style by Bullrush and Gordon Elliott.

The open lightweight saw Mountpill Lad and Colin Motherway come home in front for a two and a half-length victory over False Tail.

Ciaran Murphy was in the winners enclosure when winning the five-year-old and upwards mares maiden aboard Villageleader.

Gordon Elliott and Molly Be Good after finishing third in the five-year-old mares maiden were then awarded the race as the first and second past the post Queen Weasel and Jackie Kidd and Rosies Glen and Richie Cully were disqualified for going the wrong side of a bail.

Richie Cully gained some compensation when winning the four and five-year-old maiden aboard Only Alymer.

Rory Lavery and Satco’s Deception took the penultimate race on the day, the six-year-old geldings maiden when registering a five length victory over Five Alley and Gordon Elliott.

The concluding race of the day saw River Shamrock break his duck when landing the eight-year-old and upwards geldings maiden under a strong ride from Brian Hamilton.
