17 runners declared for the Ladies Perpetual Cup

17 horses are declared to run in the Sean Breen Memorial Chase for the Ladies Perpetual Cup. The €15,000 contest will kick off the five-day Punchestown Festival 2019.

The market favourite in this year's renewal of the race is the Enda Bolger-trained Blue Templar. Ray Barron will ride the son of Milan who would be a deserving winner having finished third in 2017 and second last year beaten by just a head.

Bolger also trains Youcannotbeserious and Different Spot. The former will be ridden by Derek O'Conner, the well-bred son of Presenting has not been seen since November 2017.

While Different Spot was unplaced on his last outing having not been seen sincelast November, he will be ridden by Calvin Nugent.

Benny Walsh will be aboard Enniskillen who won this race two years ago while Luke Murphy will take the ride on Ballinasilla for Denis Murphy, this horse was third on his last outing in the banks race at Lingstown in March.

Carrignagapple will wear cheekpieces for the first time here for Catherine Hamilton with Eoin O'Brien in the saddle. The gelding's best form of the season thus far came in the autumn when winning the hunt chase at Cork in November.

Luke McGuinness will ride Like A Demon for Nigel Thomas Slevin. The Central Park gelding placed third of ten runners in the hunt chase at Downpatrick on the 24th March.
