Court Cave's progeny enjoys pointing success at Ballyragget

Court Cave enjoyed his eighth point-to-point winner this season when Lough Derg Lyric recorded success for father and son partnership Gerard and Brian Lawless. This was the seven-year-old bay's second success on the trot having also won at Kirkistown on his last outing.

Court Cave's pointing progeny have also gone on to perform well on the track.

The Evan Williams-trained Hold Court has won eight times under rules and came third in the Grade 2 Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at Warwick in 2013 . The gelding was second on his four-year-old maiden debut at Athlacca for Philip Fenton back in May 2011.

Clondaw Court was an impressive 15-length winner on his five-year-old maiden debut at Largy back in April 2012 for Wexford duo Colin Bowe and Barry O'Neill. Harold Kirk and Willie Mullins then purchased the son of Court Cave for £130,000 from Brightwells. The gelding went on to win four of his five starts for Mullins.

Fenlon's Hill is another former pointer by Court Cave to enjoy success under rules. The John Blake owned gelding has won three times on the track for trainer Paul Stafford. As a four-year-old Fenlon's Hill ran three times in the spring of 2015 for Mick Goff finishing second on two of those occasions.

The son of Sadler's Wells, Court Cave stands at Boardsmill Stud for a fee of €3,000.
