Point graduates line up for Day 4 at Cheltenham

Multiple former Irish pointers hold chances in the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett novices' hurdle including Lisnagar Oscar, Birchdale, Commander of Fleet, Derrinross and Dickie Diver.

The market favours Lisnagar Oscar out of the group mentioned above. Trained by Rebecca Curtis, the son of Oscar is coming off of the back of a win at Haydock at Grade 2 level in the middle of February.

The six-year-old won his debut point last March for Denis Fitzgerald and was subsequently purchased by Curtis for £105,000.

The Irish point graduate Birchdale will have a good chance for Nicky Henderson and JP McManus here. The Jeremy gelding won his four-year-old debut for Colin McKeever and Wilson Dennison last March.

Commander Of Fleet recorded success for Pat Doyle on his point debut at Moig South last March. Since then, the son of Fame And Glory has won three out of his four starts on the track for Gordon Elliot and Gigginstown House Stud.

The former pointer Whatswrongwithyou will battle it out in the Grade 3 Grand Annual chase for Nicky Henderson. The son of Bienamado has recorded five wins on the track to date.

The chestnut won his second point start for Paurick O'Connor, having been beaten on his debut by Invitation Only who will run in this years' Gold Cup.

Defi Bleu and Get A Reason will represent the point-to-point graduates in the Martin Pipe handicap hurdle.

The former won his point debut at Oldtown in February 2017 for Gordon Elliot and Gigginstown House.

Getareason was also successful on his point debut, winning the four-year-old maiden at Punchestown for Warren Ewing in February 2017.
