Debestyman stepped forward from his debut run at Cragmore in April where he finished fifth, to claim success at Ballindenisk in May in a five-and-six-year-old geldings maiden. Ridden prominently by Rob James, the son of Mahler progressed to lead before the penultimate fence where he quickly gained a strong advantage over his rivals on the run to the final obstacle and went clear on the run-in to secure a comfortable six length win. Given the attributes Debestyman showed on his latest start he looks like a gelding that can develop into a smart track performer that will have an exciting future inside the rails.
