Barry Stone followed in the footsteps of his uncle Benny Walsh, when riding in his first point-to-point at Ballingarry on the penultimate day of the 2016/17 season when teaming-up with Vital Island, who was trained by Liam Kenny at the time. The Wexford native, who was worked for the likes of Noel Meade, Joseph O'Brien and Jim Bolger, got off the mark at Loughrea in October 2018 when steering the Ellen Doyle-trained Unexpected Depth to victory in a four-year-old maiden.
