There will now be just one fixture on the opening weekend of the season after Sunday’s scheduled fixture at Castletown-Geoghegan was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Westmeath point-to-point, which had attracted 89 entries, has been transferred to Saturday week, October 10th, with original entries standing.
The postponement leaves Saturday’s card at Toomebridge to occupy the sole slot on the first weekend of the new campaign, with racing at the Mid Antrim course set to get underway at 1pm, with the first of two four-year-old maiden races on the card.
The addition of Castletown-Geoghegan to next weekend’s programme will leave three fixtures on the second weekend of the season, with Portrush already scheduled for Saturday, October 10th, and Loughrea on Sunday, October 11th.
The entries for Portrush and Loughrea will close on Tuesday, October 6th.
