IHRB Point to Point Stewards Enquiry Mid Antrim (H) Saturday 2 May 2026
The Acting Stewards interviewed Mr David Doyle, rider of Glenmalure Flyer, placed first, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of the 5YO and Upwards Mares Race.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the relevant whip regulation.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Acting Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 58. 3.(g) in that he had used the whip with excessive frequency.
Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Acting Stewards suspended Mr David Doyle for one Point to Point raceday.
