IIHRB Point to Point Stewards Enquiry Stonehall (H) Ballysteen Saturday 25 April 2026

The Acting Stewards interviewed Mr R.W. Barron, rider of West End Jeff, unplaced, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of the 
5yo Geldings Maiden – Division 2. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the relevant whip regulation.

Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Acting Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 58. 3.(i) in that he had used the whip without allowing or appearing to allow his mount at least three strides to respond.

Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Acting Stewards suspended Mr R.W. Barron for
one Point to Point raceday.

Killeady (H) Sunday 26 April 2026

The Acting Stewards interviewed Mr C.J. Tobin, rider of Ciel De Neige (FR), unplaced, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of the 
Open Lightweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the relevant whip regulation.

Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Acting Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 58. 3.(g) in that he had used the whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Acting Stewards suspended Mr Tobin for three Point to Point racedays and ordered him to attend RACE for one days tuition on the correct
use of the whip.

Meath (F) & Tara (H) Sunday 26 April 2026

The Acting Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales that Mr A.J. Lord, rider of
Tullamarine, unplaced, had failed to weigh in, after 
4yo Geldings Maiden – Division 1.

Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Acting Stewards were satisfied that Mr Lord was in breach of Regulation 41 and fined him €150
