Closing date for Downpatrick Hunters Chase

Entries for the Downpatrick Hunters Chase on Sunday 30th March, will close on Tuesday 25th March at 12 noon.

Declarations to run must be made by 10am on Friday 28th March.

Winner will receive €6,000 (Penalty Value: €5,900), Second will receive €2,000, Third will receive €1,000, Fourth will receive €500, Fifth will receive €300, Sixth will receive €200

A steeplechase for † Certified Hunters five years old and upwards that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing and have been placed either first, second, third or fourth in a Point To Point Steeplechase in Ireland or second, third or fourth in a Certified Hunters Steeplechase in Ireland between 25th September, 2021 and 24th March, 2025.

About 2 miles 7 furlongs 150 yards

€90 to enter, €10 extra if declared to run  
Weights: 5-y-o ................................... 11st 12lbs
6-y-o and up ................................................12st
Mares allowed ............................................. 7lbs
Riders: Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules

† A Hunters Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2024/2025 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Office of the INHSC, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 24th March, 2025 or the horse will not be qualified to start.
