The IHRB have announced a number of fixture changes owing to the ongoing wet weather. The two courses that were due to hold fixtures on Saturday, April 20th, both failed inspections having been found to be unfit for racing.

The fixture at Moira has been abandoned, whilst the fixture in Tralee has been cancelled. Replacement fixtures have been found, and there will still be two fixtures taking place that afternoon.

Loughanmore and Curraghmore have both been drafted in with both courses having lost fixtures in recent weeks and they will both race on Saturday, April 20th.

The first race at Loughanmore will begin at 2pm and the card will consist of a four-year-old mares’ maiden, a four-year-old geldings’ maiden, a five-year-old geldings’ maiden, a five-year-old and upwards mares’ maiden, a winners-of-three, and a six-year-old and upwards geldings’ maiden.

There will also be a 2pm start for the Waterford (F) fixture in Curraghmore, and it has a similar card – with a four-year-old mares’ maiden, a four-year-old geldings’ maiden, a five-year-old geldings’ maiden, a five-year-old and upwards mares’ maiden, a mares’ winners-of-one and a six-year-old and upwards geldings’ maiden for novice riders.

Entries for both fixtures close at 12noon on Tuesday, alongside the already scheduled fixtures for Sunday, April 20th, at Oldcastle and Dromahane.
