Carrigarostig abandoned after three races

Storm Isha took its toll on the weekend’s pointing action, with the Killeagh (H) fixture at Carrigarostig having to be abandoned after just three races.

Deteriorating conditions resulted in the call being made to stop the fixture after the mares’ winners-of-two event.

Posting on X, the Killeagh committee stated: “In the interest of health and safety, and access problems for emergency services, the rest of today’s meeting had been abandoned. Thank you to all our patrons for your generous support.”

Sunday’s other fixture at Ballycrystal was fully completed albeit with heavy rain and strong winds making for tough conditions for all.
