PREVIEW | Tipperary (H) at Turtulla - Sunday

No fewer than 158 entries have necessitated the start of racing being brought forward by one hour with a competitive card in store on Sunday.

Race 1 – Shanaville Stables & Nicholastown Stud 5YO Mares Maiden

After posting two decent efforts at the end of last year, I AM GONNA BE could be the one to wise with as she bids to get her head in front. Potters Princess is the obvious alternative having looked to bump into a smart mare when second at Ballindenisk on her debut earlier this month, a position that Cluain Aodha also filled on her debut.

Of the others, Dame De Fortune was sent off as the favourite when making her first appearance at Borris House and any market support again here would be interesting.

Race 2 – Meadowview Stables 5YO Geldings Maiden

COLONEL HARRY was desperately unlucky not to have made the perfect start to his career when coming down at the last at Damma House when looking to have victory within his grasp. He sets the standard here and would certainly be deserving of compensation.

Mount Wilson also came a cropper at the last on his debut, that coming at Kirkistown in November and the Telescope gelding had caught the eye until weakening late on. A big performance would not come as a surprise, whilst the Mick Goff yard has been in good form of late and so Frankie Boy and Fulgurant are others to consider.

Race 3 AQS Environmental & Tipperary Harriers Committee open

ER DANCER and Mighty Stowaway filled the first two positions at Borris House before Christmas with the former winning by six lengths. Whilst Mighty Stowaway has since picked up his third win of the campaign, Er Dancer put up a big display when second in the Hunter Chase at Down Royal last month and should be able to confirm the Borris placings in this.

It Came To Pass and Killultagh Vic were first and second at Ballindenisk but this does look a stronger races, with Aloneamongmillions and Some Man also worthy of a spot on the shortlist.

Race 4 – Dalton Transport & Modified Vaping 6YO+ Mares Maiden

SOME WOMAN is well-related being out of a half-sister to the former Gold Cup winner Denman, and having gone close when second at Lingstown last month she looks to be the one to beat for this.

The Dreams Alive acquitted herself well in trying conditions at Boulta on her first outing for new connections and this track-placed mare would look a danger alongside the experienced campaigners Larkfield Legacy, Cappajune Lady and Chitchat Sally.

Race 5 – Barne Accessories & Minella Racing Winner of One

GARM COLOMBE made a winning start for new connections at Moira earlier in the season, and with the subsequent Boulta winner Grandero Bello having finished behind him on that occasion, the form has since received a nice boost.

Camillas Choice beat a more experienced and proven rival when making a winning debut at Borris House. She could run a big race here with the 5lb mares allowance in her favour to bring her into contention alongside the recent Ballindenisk victor Just A Dime, Boulta third Striking Out, and the returning Wasdale Park.

Race 6 – Railway Stables & Barne Accessories 6YO+ Geldings Maiden

AHAHKNOWYOURSELF took a big step froward from anything that he had previously produced when chasing home Just A Dime at Ballindenisk recently and that could leave him as a leading contender for this.

Gavroche Dallier has long been knocking on the door and is sure to be involved once again alongside Easca Mor who has an eye-catching second from a Hunter Chase last year to his name. Top Of The List, Lessankan, Murphys Double and Mahler Appeal are others with definite prospects.
