Another boost for Jet Away

Arctic Tack Studs stallion Jet Away, gained another boost with the impressive performance of Cool Jet in the John Thomas McNamara Series INH Flat Race at Thurles on Monday. 

The five-year-old who raced in the colours of Jet Away’s part owner Douglas Taylor, took up the running travelling well approaching the straight and kept on strongly in the final furlong for a five-length victory over Spanish Present in the hands of Jody Townend. 

The winning trainer Willie Mullins had remarked that after that performance he will get an entry for Cheltenham. 

Jet Away’s stock have performed really well in Irish Point-to-Points having had five winners already. 

One of his winners includes Brandy Love who posted an eight length victory in her maiden at Cragmore for handler Colin Bowe. 

Having created a big impression when the beat the boys at Cragmore, Brandy Love has now joined the Willie Mullins stable to continue her career, after Harold Kirk saw off Tom Malone with a final bid of £200,000 for the filly at the Tattersalls Cheltenham February Sale. 

Brandy Love has since impressed when winning a bumper on her racecourse debut at Fairyhouse when running out a seven length victory in the hands of Patrick Mullins.
