Video Archives | Maralin May 2004

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2004 season.

The Killultagh, Old Rock & Chichester point-to-point fixture at Maralin is the next meeting to be added to the archive section from 2004.

Below is a re-cap of what happened on the day.

Stephen Magee was off the mark early when winning the opening confined hunt race aboard Brophys Sonnet. The son of Homo Sapien was owned by Phillip Swan who is the current secretary for the Killultagh, Old Rock & Chichester Hunt.

Influential added another win to his name when running out an eight length victory under Brian Hamilton.

It was a thrilling finish to the ITBA Mares Final with Shantilly Way and Eamon Magee and Ups N Downs and Robert Widger sharing the spoils with the judge unable to split them. Shantilly Way was owned by the recently deceased Dr Gillespie.

Derek O’Connor registered another double on the day when winning the open lightweight aboard Finoel

Down Democrat provided O’Connor with his second winner of the afternoon when winning the five-year-old geldings maiden.

The opening division of the six and seven-year-old maiden was won by Drumnavaddy Lough with Jackie Kidd in the saddle.

The concluding race of the day, division two of the six and seven-year-old maiden was won by Dante’s Honour and Danny Keenan.
