Strong Entry for Fairyhouse Winter Festival

The second day of the winter festival at Fairyhouse features three renowned Grade 1 races, the BARONERACING.COM Drinmore Novice Chase, the BARONERACING.COM Hatton’s Grade Hurdle and the BARONERACING.COM Royal Bond Novice Hurdle.

 
The entries for all three Grade 1 races have been well supported and feature a host of former Irish Point-to-Pointers. 

In the first of the Grade 1 races the BARONERACING.com Royal Bond Novice Hurdle there are six point-to-point graduates entered for the event. 
 
Among the entries includes recent winner Ballyadam who impressed on his hurdle debut at Down Royal when running out a 12 length victory over Colonel Mustard. 
 
The son of  Fame And Glory won his point-to-point maiden at Portrush for handler Colin McKeever. 
Gigginstown House Stud have seven entered for the event four of which are graduates from the point-to-point field. 

Recent Clonmel winner Iracible, this five-year-old started his career with Brian Hamilton before moving to Gordon Elliotts. 

Lieutenant Command who fell on his only start between the flags, has now won on three of two starts for trainer Noel Meade.

The Very Man, Loughanmore point-to-point winner for handler Stuart Crawford was unlucky on his latest run at Down Royal when unseating his rider two fences from home. 

Wide Receiver completes the line-up, this son of Sholokhov was an impressive winner of his point-to-point maiden at Cragmore for Cormac Farrell.  
 
Nine of the eighteen entered for Grade 1 BARONERACING.COM Drinmore Novice Chase started their careers between the flags.

They include the undefeated Envoi Allen who took his beginners chase in fine style at Down Royal last month. 

The JP McManus owned Andy Dufresne who impressed on his latest start at Wexford when winning by a comfortable seven and a half lengths. 

Assemble, Conflated, Diol Ker, DLauro, Embittered, Run Wild Fred and Sams Profile all hold entries for the Grade 1 event. 

Point-to-pointers have a great record in this race, previous winners include Death Duty, No More Heroes, Jessies Dream, Pandorama, Trafford Lad and Sky’s The Limit. 
 
The Henry de Bromhead trained Honeysuckle is among the entries for the third Grade 1 event of the day, BARONERACING.COM Hatton’s Grace Hurdle.

The daughter of Sulamani was last seen when winning the Close Brothers Mares Grade 1 hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. 

The six-year-old started her career between the flags when winning her maiden at Dromahane in the hands of Mark O’Hare.  Since progressing to the track she was won on all seven starts which includes four Grade 1 victories. 

The former Pat Doyle handled Fury Road posted a comfortable victory over Dewcup on his season return at Punchestown earlier this month. 

Tralee point-to-point winner French Dynamite is also among the entries, he posted a good run on his season debut when only beaten half a length by Sire Du Berlais. 

The Willie Mullins trained Bacardys also holds an entry, this son of Coastal Path has won four Graded races on the track since winning his maiden at Quakerstown for handler Pat Doyle.
