New weekly deadline for the lodging of Hunter Certificates

Alongside the announcement that the submission of passports was being moved online as part of the IHRB’s return to point-to-pointing planning during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there will also be a significant change to the deadline for submitting Hunter Certificates.

Previously, Hunter Certificates had to be lodged by close of business each Monday, to run just under a fortnight later.

The new deadline will be close of business each Friday, a full two weeks in advance of when you wish to run your horse in a Point to Point.

For example, in order to be eligible to run on the weekend of the 3rd & 4th October 2020, the deadline for receipt of Hunter Certificates to be lodged here in the Office will be Friday 18th September.

The only exception to the new Friday deadline will be in regard to the point-to-point meetings scheduled for the opening two weekends of the Autumn season of which the closing date will be as follows:

1. The first weekend of the Autumn season (Ballingarry and Oldcastle 19th & 20th Sept 2020) – the deadline for receipt of Hunters Certificates to the offices of the INHSC, and passport pages provided online, will be Wednesday 2nd September at 5pm

2. The second weekend of the Autumn season (Necarne and Monksgrange 26th & 27th Sept 2020) – the deadline for receipt of Hunter Certificates to the offices of the INHSC, and passport pages provided online, will be Wednesday 9th September at 5pm.

Additionally, as part of the measures being introduced to allow the safe return of point-to-pointing, there will no longer be the red bag facility for the dropping of Hunter Certificates at point-to-point meetings until further notice.
