Further positive as equestrian disciplines recommence

The 2020 Autumn point-to-point season is only weeks away and preparations are already in progress for the opening meetings.

It is also very positive to see many equestrian sports activities resuming across the country which include show jumping and eventing.

Show Jumping Ireland shows recommenced on the 27th June and there has now been over 100 shows that have taken place across the country.

Eventing Irelands national events recommenced on the 4th July, they have also received a further boost, with two International FEI events scheduled to take place in August at Kilguilkey House and Ballindenisk.

Ballindenisk is also home to the United Foxhounds point-to-point, their autumn fixture will take place on Sunday 29th November.

Like many sporting events, there are protocols to be followed and the shows are taking place behind closed doors.

Both governing bodies have published their own protocols and the IHRB are currently working on protocols for Irish Point-to-Points which will be published well in advance of the season.
