Noel Kelly Open Day Sunday 27th October

County Derry trainer Noel Kelly will be holding an open day at his yard in Draperstown on Sunday 27th October.

Kelly is the only licensed trainer in county Derry.

All our welcome on the day and there is something to suit all of the family with plenty on offer;

  • Horse parade and commentary
  • A tour of the stables, gallops and all of the facilities
  • Farrier demonstration (making and shoeing horses)
  • There will be flat and national hunt jockeys present on the day
  • Pig on a spit
  • Bar
  • Live music from country singer ‘Ryan Turner’
  • Pony riders and pony and cart rides for kids
  • Auction

All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the local charity ‘little wombles cross-community playgroup’.

Noel Kelly has enjoyed great success between the flags particularly in the last two seasons having saddled 12 winners. Decor Irlandais and Milan Dancer have been great servants for the team having won four races each between the flags.

Kelly has also enjoyed great success under rules and supplied Grand National winning jockey Derek Fox with his winner aboard Mighty Whitey in 2010.  The Derry trainer saddled his first double this summer under rules at Downpatrick with Brack Lily and Canadian Steel both landing the spoils.

The open day will commence from 2pm.
Address: 10 Crocknamohill Road, Draperstown, BT45 7LB
