Weekend Preview | Curraghmore

Race 1: Goffs Punchestown Sale 4yo Geldings Maiden

The Gigginstown House Stud-owned ARGUMENTAL really caught the eye on his debut with the manner in which he stayed on late to finish a fine second on his debut in Ballycahane. It would not be a surprise to see him go one better in this.

Fier Jaguen was not beaten far at Lisronagh on debut and will be entitled to have improved, and alongside his stable companion Falethao Dana, they could represent Cormac Doyle who has enjoyed a good deal of success in this division in recent times. Minella Wizard and Maasai Warrior are others to consider.

Race 2: Lake Tour Stables 5yo Geldings Maiden

GO WHATEVER has a host of form that would entitle him to win a maiden, having finished in the first four in each of his four previous outings to date, including when a close second at Armagh in February.

Supreme Escape finished fourth on his debut and is likely entitled to find more improvement which would leave him as a likely contender alongside the likes of Clondaw Dancer who was in front when falling at the second-last in Moira recently.

Race 3: Tattersalls Ireland Winner Of One

DEAM ON JOHN beat subsequent winner Avoid De Master when winning in testing conditions at Boulta in December, and he is likely the one to beat on his return from a break.

Aloneamongmillions is from the family of the multiple-winning pointer BL Swagger and he made a winning debut at Ballyragget, leaving him as one of the more exposed horses in the line-up, with Solo Cargo, The Ferry Master and Vinnies Nephue are others that can enter the mix.

Race 4: Kilbarry Lodge Stud 5yo Mares Maiden

BAILEHUIGUINCAILIN did not go unnoticed in the market prior to her latest appearance at Lisronagh and having finished second on that occasion, it would not take much improvement to figure in this.

Lemon Hill and Springfield Lodge were both out of luck on their most recent appearances but have offered promise prior to this, whilst Champagne Beauty, Finisk Mist and Urban Waltz are others for the shortlist.

Race 5: Billy Burke - Fishmonger, Vincent Halley - Trainer & Talbot Hotel 5yo Confined Maiden

PERLE ROSE has run at this fixture for last two years in succession, including when a fine third in the mares maiden in 2017. She has been somewhat out of sorts this season, but back from a break and dropping into confined company for the first time could leave her as an interesting prospect.

Treacys Jim ran well for a long way on his debut in Dungarvan, Tinern Trails has offered promise before disappointing of late, whilst Daddy Curtuis and Avant La Lettre are two very interesting contenders that must overcome long absences.

Race 6: Gain Horse Feeds 6yo Geldings Maiden (Nov Rdrs)

COTTON ROCK has suffered narrow defeats at both Tallow and Lisronagh in recent times, ensuring that he would be a very deserving winner of this.

Goldazar could be the big danger if he was able to recapture the form of his Kirkistown second, with Conguile Way who looked back close to his best when second at Rathcannon earlier this month, among the other threats alongside Rwegoinhigh, Carrig Hill and the track recruit Kalamkan.
