This year’s St Stephens Day marked another successful day for Irish pointers on the track from both here and across the water.

The seven-year-old who won his point-to-point maiden at Turtulla in November 2022 for handler Ellen Doyle now has seven wins to his name including two Grade 1 victories.
Romeo Coolio remained undefeated this season when claiming the Racing Post Grade 1 Novice Chase at Leopardstown.
The Gordon Elliott trained gelding had to battle hard on the run-in to get up and deny Irish Panther in the closing stages to score by half a length.
The son of Kayf Tara won his maiden at Belclare in March 2023 for handler Donnchadh Doyle.
Kazansky also added Black Type to his name when winning the Defender Grade 2 Novice Hurdle at Limerick.
The gelding has now won two races since joining the Gordon Elliott team, he won his maiden earlier this year at Rathcannon for handler Donnchadh Doyle.
