Goresbridge Horse Sales returns to the spotlight with its Select Point to Pointers and National Hunt Horses in Training Sale taking place next Wednesday, April 23rd, at the Goresbridge Sales Complex in Co. Kilkenny. The auction will commence at 1pm and promises a strong catalogue filled with potential stars of the future.

With many of the most prominent producers once again represented, and a fine selection of 4- and 5-year-olds who have already shown form between the flags, the stage is set for another lively sale day.

Among the standout entries is Endless Talking, a son of Affinisea, who impressed with a winning debut performance, hinting at serious potential. Affinisea, a striking presence in the National Hunt stallion ranks, is known for producing horses with stamina and scope. His progeny continue to command attention in both the Irish point-to-point fields and under rules.

Another strong contender is Mickey Hulie, a Pour Moi gelding who boasts a win and a runner-up placings from just three starts. Also catalogued is The Price If Peace, a Quest For Peace gelding with a similar record — a win and a second from three outings. Buyers should also take note of Owning Flower, a 5-year-old mare who won impressively on debut for consignor William Cuddihy. She showed a sharp turn of foot and looks a particularly exciting prospect for future mares’ series races.

This year’s catalogue is further bolstered by a noteworthy contingent from Monbeg Stables, with seven entries set to go under the hammer. The Doyle brothers continue to produce top-class horses season after season. Buyers will find entries from Moate Stables, a consistent source of winners over the years, and Milestone Stables, under the expert guidance of Colin Bowe, who remains one of the most prolific producers on the circuit.

Potential purchasers will also be keeping an eye out for a number of strong finishers from recent weeks — several entries have shown their mettle with late surges to claim victory or place in competitive maidens.

There is added buzz around this year’s sale following a series of notable graduates from Goresbridge’s 2024 season, who have gone on to make waves under rules.

Among them, Birmingham Alabama, Small Town Kid, Aspurofthemoment and Cloonainra, have all carried the Goresbridge banner into the winner’s enclosures, confirming the sale’s rising influence as a source of future stars.

The catalogue includes a balanced mix of winning and placed point-to-pointers. As in previous editions, several late wild cards are expected to be added following the weekend's action, bringing even more excitement to the ring.

The full catalogue is available now at www.goresbridge.com, with race footage for each lot online. Veterinary certificates will be uploaded for all lots on Tuesday evening, April 22nd.

Viewing at the yard will be available from 5pm Tuesday 22nd and from 11am on sale day.
