INHS Committee stewards report from Mid Antrim (H) and United Hunt (F) Bartlemy on 11th & 12th May 2024.

United Hunt (F) Bartlemy Point to Point Meeting Sunday 12th May 2024

The Acting Stewards interviewed Mr M.J. Kenneally, rider of Sergeant Fury, placed first, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of the 4yo Geldings Maiden - Division 1

Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Acting Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 58. 3.(h) in that he had used the whip with his arm being or appearing to be above shoulder height.

Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Acting Stewards suspended Mr M.J. Kenneally for one Point to Point raceday.

Mid Antrim (H) Point to Point Meeting Saturday 11th May 2024

The Stewards enquired into an incident before the third last fence in the 5yo & Upwards Adjacent Maiden involving Glenwherry, ridden by Mr N. McParlan and Jim The Wolf (FR), ridden by Mr Dara McGill, where it appeared Glenwherry veered left and ran out before the fence, carrying out Jim The Wolf (FR).

Evidence was heard from both riders concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Acting Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
