Milestone for Eoin OBrien

Eoin O’Brien reached a milestone in his career when registering his 100th point-to-point winner between the flags aboard the Olivia Hegarty trained Hipop at Ballyknock.

O’Brien had an agonizing wait in the final race of the day before the judge awarded a dead heat between himself and the Colin Motherway trained Big Gangsta. The pair drew eight lengths clear of the third placed Breeze Of Wind.

The Mitchelstown native has finished within the top-10 riders in three seasons, he is particularly dominant in the southern region.  80 of his winners have been recorded in this region

His most successful tracks are Dromahane (11 winners), Kildorrery (8 winners) and Ballindenisk (8 winners).

His main supporters include; Jimmy Mangan (12), Daniel G Murphy (11), Marie Harding (9),
