Video Archives | Maralin April 2003

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2003 season.

The next fixture to be added to the video archive section is the Mid Antrim Hunts point-to-point fixture at Maralin.

Below is a re-cap of what happened on the day.

The opening race at the Mid Antrim Hunt point-to-point at Maralin, the confined hunt winners race was in good style by Sunstart Lad and William Rankin.

Jewel Note posted an impressive victory when running out a 10-length victory over Trevors Pet in the four and five-year-old maiden.

The winners of two contest saw Better Blue come home in front by 10-lengths in the hands of Robert Patton.

Eamon Magee was in the winners’ enclosure when running out a 20-length victory of the six-year-old and upwards mares maiden aboard Blue Maine.

The open lightweight saw an impressive winner in Grangewood King who came home in front to score by 10-lengths in the hands of Stephen Magee.

Leo Gracey was on the scoresheet when winning the six-year-old and upwards geldings maiden aboard Father Tom.

The concluding race of the day, the six-year-old and upwards gelding maiden was claimed by Proan Hill with Neil McKnight in the saddle.
