Video Archives | Tallanstown April 2002

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2002 season.

The next video to be added to our archive collection is the Louth Hunts point-to-point fixture at Tallanstown.

Below gives a brief re-cap of what happened on the day.

The opening racing at Louth Hunts point-to-point fixture at Tallanstown, the confined hunt race was won in good style by King Of The Hill in the hands of J A Smith.

The five and six-year-old geldings maiden was won by Multi Talented with Alan Fleming in the saddle.

Barnamire Bay and Paul Barrett ran out a six-length winner of the open lightweight with Lord Bentley and Denis Cullen filling the runner-up spot.

Colin Motherway was on the scoresheet when landing the mares open aboard Flyingagain.

Meath jockey Gordon Elliott registered a double on the day when winning the last two races on the Tallanstown card.

Shezacus provided Elliott his first winner and running out a five length victory in the five-year-old and upwards mares maiden.

Gordon Elliott registered his second winner of the afternoon when landing the seven and eight-year-old maiden aboard Christina Brown.
