Weekend Preview | Ballyarthur 15th March 2020

Race 1 - Foley Timber Harvesting & Radley Engineering 4yo Mares Maiden

In a field with plenty of newcomers, Colin Bowe and Denis Murphy are two handlers that have saddled plenty of winners in the age division in recent weeks and so their representatives have to be respected.

Race 2 - Goffs UK 4yo Geldings Maiden

JUST A DIME
gets the nod to go one spot better this time around for his handler Joseph Ryan. The son of Doyen made an encouraging debut at Cragmore on his latest start, finishing second to the well-regarded Brandy Love. His biggest danger on paper looks to be the Colin Bowe-trained Slievegar who finished third on debut at Tinahely.

Race 3 - Dairygold Pegus feed, Glanbia GAIN Equine Nutrition & Denis Condon 5yo+ Mares Maiden

VICTORIAS PEAK has two very solid efforts to her name, finishing second on both her starts to date at both Punchestown and Borris House. The Colin Bowe-trained daughter of Fame And Glory was beaten just half a length at Borris House, and she could well be able to atone on this occasion. Her most obvious dangers look to be Caletta Storm, Honest To Goodness and Rosy Story.

Race 4 - Jim Lenihan Transport, McCarthy Insurance & The Swallow Inn 5yo Geldings Maiden

PAY THE PIPER has been a model of consistency since his debut at Ballyvodock last month. The Colin Bowe-trained five-year-old was ahead of Mongol Emperor at Ballyvodock who subsequently won well at Turtulla last weekend. Knockmmoylan and Mount Oscar are others to note, and are both sure to have their supporters.

Race 5 - The Village Inn Winner Of Three

In a small field of four, TEMPLEBREDIN has been a consistent sort for his handler Sam Curling this season. The son of Stowaway was denied a hat-trick on his latest start at Kildorrery, where he finished second to Sovereign Gold. Concrete King and Doubleubee are others that should be considered , and both have some solid form to their name of late.

Race 6 - Cotters Bar, Butchers Bar & Joe Aherns Bar 5yo+ Adjacent Maiden

In a small field of three, JEREMY CENTRAL looks the one that the other pair have to beat, having made an encouraging debut at Kildorrery recently where he finished second to Oneida. He is sure to improve for that promising effort, and should prove hard to beat. The Edmond Kent-trained Solar Sovereign looks his biggest threat, having just been touched off by a neck in the adjacent maiden at Kildorrery.
