Weekend Preview | Dromahane 10th November

Race 1: Tattersalls Ireland 4yo Mares Maiden

DAME DE RUBAN could well be a warm order for this after she finished third on her debut for the Declan Queally yard in what looked a very competitive contest at Knockinroe a fortnight ago.
Her former stablemate Queens Brook, and Overnight Success, a half-sister to Samcro that was a beaten favourite on her debut, would seem the likely threats.

Race 2: Tattersalls Ireland 4yo Geldings Maiden

LIFETIME AMBITION lost out with a slower leap at the last in a competitive Loughanmore maiden a fortnight ago when making his debut and so a big performance will be expected from him here.

For The Cause came down at the last in another division of the four-year-old at Loughanmore and should also figure here, whilst Dare To Begin, who was just two lengths behind a more experienced sort at Portrush, and Loughrea runner-up Pats Fancy are other notable names from a big entry.

Race 3: The Committee 5yo Mares Maiden

Debbie Hartnett won this race last year with Whatsdastory and she will look to claim back to back successes with PELLADY a horse that has a similar profile.
Two placed efforts in her debut season at Tralee and around here last April would leave her with big claims in this.

Active Currencies went close at Loughanmore and represents a yard that were among the winners last weekend, whilst Knockinroe runner-up Rule Of June offered plenty of promise on her debut.

Race 4: The Committee 5yo Geldings Maiden

It was no surprise that ELMDALE went off as the favourite at Loughanmore two weeks ago, having chased home subsequent sales topper Do You Job at Castletown-Geoghegan on the opening weekend of the season. Whilst he may only have made it as far as the fourth fence at the Antrim course most recently, he can make amends here.

Ask D Man was beaten by less than two lengths on his debut at Ballynoe when only headed inside the dying strides and is a threat, as too is Beatthebullet who surrendered his lead when veering to the left on the Down Hall run-in.

Race 5: The Committee Open

2016 Cheltenham Festival winner Black Hercules could make his return to pointing action here at the same venue that he won his four-year-old maiden over six years earlier and with a rating of 152 he undoubtedly sets the standard, however he has not been seen since January 2017 and could be vulnerable on his return to the Killarney Hunter Chase winner IT CAME TO PASS.

Arctic Skipper is another former Graded winner, whilst Mount Colah, Reigning Supreme, Wounded Warrior and Johnny Sue add real depth to this entry.

Race 6: The Committee 5yo Adjacent Maiden

This would look an ideal opportunity for ROBIN IS READY who is the only horse with previous placed form. Whilst he was a beaten odds-on favourite around here in April, he is stepping back in company, and his two previous efforts would leave him likely some way above his rivals.

Of the others, Aracaras and Rose Iland both have a sixth placing to their names.
