Royal Anthem records fourth point winner

Royal Anthem sired his fourth point-to-point winner of the season when Royal Drumlee took the winners of two race at Broughshane for father and son duo, Sean and Noel McParlan.

The win marked the six-year olds third consecutive success of this spring with previous wins coming at Portrush and Armagh.

The stallions progeny also includes successful sorts such as Royalraise, The Grey Taylor, Our Cat and Crazy Jack.

The former pointer, Royal Raise, got off the mark at the third time of asking at Rathcannon for Kiltealy handler Colin Bowe.

Highflyer subsequently purchased the gelding for €50,000 back in November 2014 before going to Oliver Sherwood to be trained under rules in the UK. The gelding enjoyed numerous placings and four wins between the flags for owners Adam and Clare Signy.

The Grey Taylor was an impressive winner on his debut at Limavady for Denis Murphy and Jamie Codd achieving a rating of 89.  Sold for £110,000, the grey has gone on to record three wins under rules in the UK for Brian Ellison.

Crazy Cat won his point-to-point at the fourth time of asking before recording four wins under rules for new connections while Our Cat graduated from Irish points after eight runs to go on and secure five wins between the flags for Fergal O'Brien.
