Small field of five declared for Down Royal Hunters Chase

Down Royal is hosting a 2m7f Hunters Chase which is confined to horses that have not won more than 2 Hunters Chase.

The €10,000 contest has attracted five runners, with Complete Sizing strongly fancied to maintain his unbeaten record. The Jim Dreaper-trained seven-year-old has won all four of his starts between-the-flags and is even money favourite here under Jamie Codd.

Former Statford Champion Hunter Chase winner, Chosen Dream is second favourite for Mark O’Hare and Graham McKeever. The eleven-year-old was certainly not disgraced when finishing a close fourth in the Joseph O’Reilly.

Winged Leader is the only five-year-old in the party and has ran a few fine races in defeat this season. Declan Lavery in aboard the 3/1 chance.

Nabraska took a maiden around Tyrella earlier in the season and makes his first start under rules here under Neil Gault, while the outsider Rewritetherules completes the line-up.
