Irish point-to-point graduates made their mark in UK points last weekend

 
Irish point graduates recorded success at each of the six point-to-point meetings taking place in the UK last weekend. 

KINGSTON BLOUNT

SILVER LOUNA enjoyed a successful run in Irish points in Spring 2017, placing in four of her five starts for father and son duo Pat and Jimmy O'Rourke. The French-bred daughter of Silver Cross made her UK point debut in January of this year and recorded her first win in the open maiden last Saturday for Hannah Lewis. 

TIMMIE ROE has recorded a treble in UK points for Tim Underwood this season. The eight-year-old Vinnie Roe gelding won his Irish pointing debut back in December 2016 at Dromahane for Eoghan O'Grady. 

CHARLTON HORETHORNE

ROBIN DE BOSS has won eight of his 15 UK points to date for Jo Hepburn. Most recently the Robin des Pres gelding recorded success in the hunt members race last Sunday. Martin Cullinane previously campaigned the nine-year-old in Irish points during the 2015/2016 season. 

NAVANMAN won his five-year-old debut at Athlacca for David Harry Kelly and Pa King back in May 2014. The Well Chosen gelding has subsequently gone on to win six-times in UK points for John Heard. Last Sunday the ten-year-old won the conditions race at Charlton Horeheath by a distance of two-and-a-half lengths.  

BANGOR ON DEE

OPTIMISED recorded an impressive 25 length victory in the confined at Bangor On Dee on Sunday for Philip Rowley. The seven-year-old has won five out of his six UK point starts over the last two seasons. Back in May 2016 the son of Stowaway came fourth in his only Irish point run for Pat Doyle and Gigginstown House Stud. 
 
HAVEN'T TIME has enjoyed a successful debut season in UK points winning two out of his three starts. The most recent of which was the restricted race at Bangor On Dee for trainer/owner Sarah McQueen. Peaky Power started off the Curtain Time gelding in Irish points in 2018.  

DALTON PARK

THE MOBILE MAN recorded success in the hunt members race at Dalton Park on Sunday for Cherry Coward. The son of Milan has enjoyed six winners in UK points over the last four seasons. The gelding began his career in Irish points for Michael Cotter in 2014. 

IRON CHANCELLOR has enjoyed six seasons pointing in the UK for trainer Jessica Bedi. The Alderbrook gelding won the ladies open on Sunday by a distance of eight lengths. The fourteen-year-old ran eight times in Irish points for Paul Moloney, winning his final two runs in the hands of James Hannon.
 
AMPTON

THIS BREAC enjoyed a 12-length victory in the conditions race at Ampton on Sunday for Andrew Pennock. The eight-year-old has recorded three UK point wins over the last two seasons. Damien Murphy handled the son of Carlo Bank in Irish points during the 2016/2017 season. 

LASER BEAM began his pointing career in Ireland under the care of Paul O'Connell. The son of Ask ran four times from November 2017 until this January before making the move to UK points. The six-year-old has recorded two wins from two in the UK for the aforementioned Andrew Pennock. Laser Beam most recently recorded success in the restricted race at Ampton on Sunday.
