The Declan McNamara-trained Glorious Galway took the Earl of Harrington Memorial Hunters Chase at Limerick this afternoon under Johnny Barry.
The six-year-old was following up on his recent second placed effort in a similar contest at Cork back in November, however the son of Westerner was still sent off at an easy to back 6/1.
Having just his sixth start, the Glorious Galway Syndicate-owned gelding cost €72,000 as a store and began his career with Jim Culloty, before transferring to the care of the Clare-based Declan McNamara, who would be best know for his association with ace hunter chaser Mossey Joe.
Johnny Barry made his intention clear from flag fall on this occasion, making every post a winning one.
Wrong Direction looked like he was going to give the eventual winner plenty to think about before departing two-out, leaving the bay to come home 11 lengths clear of Summons To Court, who filled the runner up spot.
