The JOHN CORBET CUP, now in its 59th year, will be presented but retained by the Racecourse; this cup was presented in 1811 to John Corbet, Esq., the virtual founder of hunting in Warwickshire, who kept his hounds in Stratford-on-Avon, and it has been given to this racecourse by his descendants.

The Stratford-on-Avon Executive will award a travel allowance of £300 to the owner of every runner starting in this race which is trained outside Great Britain, and which travels to Stratford with the express purpose of running in this race and does not win more than £1000 in prize money.

The British Horseracing Authority has modified Schedule (B)3 Paragraphs 24 and 26 for the purposes of this race to provide that horses will be qualified to run if they are qualified in Ireland and have a Hunters Certificate currently registered by the Stewards of the Irish National Hunt Steeple Chase Committee and which has not been cancelled.

The British Horseracing Authority has modified Schedule (F)8 for the purposes of this race such that Paragraph 17.2.4 of Part J also includes all Point-to-Point Steeple Chases run in Ireland.
