For Certified Hunters aged 6 years old and upwards, maidens at starting, the property of subscribers to any Hunt in Ireland. Mares allowed 5lbs.
For Novice Riders who, at midnight on the Monday prior to the closing of entries, have not ridden more than fifteen winners under any Rules of Racing or Steeplechasing, including Point
to Point Steeplechases. Riders who have not ridden more than 5 winners are entitled to a 5lb allowance.

ICARE DU MARAIS has not been seen in competitive action since chasing home the promising Workahead at Cragmore not far off two years ago. Five subsequent maiden winners emerged from that race to show it was a smart effort, and despite that long lay-off, he could be the one to follow as he re-appears for new connections. Sheephaven Flyer was sent off as the favourite for a Downpatrick Hunter Chase at the end of last season and has long been knocking on the door, alongside the Borris House third Kings Cowboy.
