VITAL ISLAND could line up in this race for the fourth year in succession as he bids to defend his win in last years renewal. The potentially reopposing Better B Quick and Singing Banjo finished in third and fifth positions respectively on that occasions, and so have form to overturn with the selection, although both have recent race fitness on their side which Vital Island does not. The main danger may prove to be the evergreen veteran Josies Orders who is a specialist in this sphere, winning seven races over the Punchestown and Cheltenham Cross Country courses.
