Solid Display ran a cracker when third on his debut in a four-year-old maiden at Oldcastle. By the ill-fated sire Fame and Glory whose progeny have created a strong name for themselves both in point-to-points and on the track this spring, Solid Display was ridden in mid-division before progressing to track leaders before the third last where he ran on well in the home straight to finish just three lengths third behind the progressive Easyrun De Vassy. One of four newcomers in the race, Solid Display is from the family of talented winners which includes Hard Case and Sound Judgement. Having posted such a strong run, this well-bred gelding lost little in defeat and is a very likeable youngster with a lot to offer it seems.
