Drunlee Watar made his debut a winning one when taking his five-year-old maiden at Loughanmore. Waited with in rear for much of the race, the Noel McParlan-ridden winner made steady progress over the final half a mile where he progressed to take up the lead after the penultimate fence and quickly stormed clear of his rivals where he won by an eased down 10 lengths at the finish. The decisive winner, who was one of three newcomers in the line-up, is from a family of track winners which includes the Grade one placed Ordinary Man. Drumlee Watar showed a likeable attitude and looks like a horse that could be a real money spinner for his new connections.
