Taking up the running from the second fence, Straight Red was badly hampered by a loose horse at the fourth and fifth fence but managed to maintain his lead throughout and quickened clear approaching the final fence where he went onto score a three length victory. A €50,000 store purchase, Straight Red is from the family of talented individuals which includes his half-brother, Wintered Well, who has won five races on the track to date. This eye-catching gelding is also out of a daughter to the Listed winner La Strada and is a half-brother to the prolific 13-time winner Bow Strada. Straight Red looks to be a high class addition to the catalogue who should be added to every serious short lists.
